Udaipur on Wednesday witnessed a significant protest March , organized by Mahants and Hindu organizations in response to ongoing violence against Hindus in Bangladesh. The demonstration saw widespread participation, leading to the closure of local markets as a mark of solidarity.

The protest was sparked by recent reports of targeted attacks on Hindu communities in Bangladesh, including violence against temples and individuals. Udaipur MP Manna Lal Rawat voiced his grave concerns during the march, stating, “The Hindu minority in Bangladesh is under threat at the moment. Temples and mutts are not secured. The situation is threatening and sad. I condemn these attacks and appeal to the Bangladesh interim government to protect them.”

Rawat emphasized the collective responsibility to ensure the safety of Hindus in Bangladesh, announcing that a memorandum had been submitted to the District Collector in the name of the President. The memorandum calls for immediate and effective measures to address the crisis and protect minority communities.

During the protest, a prominent Religious Scholar Swami Sulochanacharya expressed intense anger and frustration over the situation. “Hindus in Bangladesh are being targeted, tortured, and killed by a specific community,” he asserted. “This violence is not new, but it will no longer be tolerated. Hindus have awakened to the severity of these attacks, including rapes and arson targeting their homes. We warn that if this violence does not cease, the large population of this community residing in India will face severe consequences.”

The Swami's statement also referenced past incidents, including the attack on Tailor Kanhaiya Lal Sahu, to underline the perceived threat and the need for action.

The protest highlighted growing concerns over the safety of religious minorities and called for international attention and intervention to prevent further escalation. The demonstration in Udaipur reflects a broader concern within the Hindu community regarding the protection of their brethren in neighboring countries.

As the situation develops, calls for solidarity and decisive action continue, with organizers and participants urging both local and international authorities to address the ongoing violence and secure the safety of vulnerable communities.
