Rajasthan SI Paper Leak: High Court Stays Posting of Trainee SHOs
The Court orders status quo on all further process related to the SI recruitment; to hear matter again on November 22
Udaipur, November 19, 2024 - Rajasthan High Court in its ruling yesterday on the SI recruitment 2021 paper leak case has stayed the posting and passing out parade of trainee SHOs. The Court also ordered to maintain status quo on any further process related to the recruitment.
It may be noted that the training of the sub-inspectors selected in the recruitment has been completed and the examination was to be held in the coming days. After this, the passing out parade and field posting were to be given.
The High Court ruled “There will be no passing out parade of the selected trainee SI of 2021 while the petition is pending.”
In its order, a single-judge Bench of Judge Sameer Jain also directed that a notice be sent through the Principal Home Secretary to the State government, Director General of Police, Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) Secretary, Additional Director General of Special Operation Group (SOG) and two trainee sub-inspectors seeking a reply on the matter.
The matter will be heard again in Court on November 22.
Judge Jain heard the petition of Kailash Chand Sharma and 24 others in this case yesterday. Advocate Harendra Neel told the Court that the paper of SI Recruitment 2021 examination, held September 13-19, 2021, was leaked in which case many trainee sub-inspectors were arrested. The petition said that because of the huge irregularities, the examination should be declared illegal and recruitment be cancelled. A re-exam should be carried out of the candidates .
There has also been a request to monitor the Special Operations Group (SOG) investigation, call for the SOG investigation report and give age relaxation to the involved candidates who have now crossed the age limit.
During the hearing, the Court asked Additional Advocate General Bhuvnesh Sharma to get a reply from the government.
