Ranthambore and Sariska National Parks Closed for Monsoon Season
Starting today on July 1,2024, the Ranthambore National Park and Sariska Tiger Reserve will be closed to tourists for the next three months. This closure aims to protect wildlife during the monsoon season, when breeding and germination of vegetation occur. Tourists will be restricted from freely exploring the entire jungle during this period, with only two safari routes open in Sariska.
In the Alwar Buffer Zone, safaris will operate as usual, providing visitors opportunities to experience wildlife in a controlled environment. Meanwhile, in Ranthambore National Park, tourism activities will be limited to Zones 6 to 10 exclusively. These measures are part of annual conservation efforts to ensure minimal disturbance to wildlife habitats.
Both parks are scheduled to reopen to tourists on October 1, 2024 following the conclusion of the monsoon season.
