Ranthambore National Park is anticipated to open 3 new gates

Ranthambore National Park has planned three more entry gates for tourists. The forests administration has given a proposal for new gates in its Tiger Conservation Plan (TCP) submitted to National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA).

“When Ranthambore was created, the critical tiger habitat (CTH) or the crore area was not thoughtfully designed. As a result, the forest has to take shortcuts to get tourism moving. We are trying to correct this mistake and are redefining CTH and buffer zones.” - Top forest Official

Once the proposal is approved, entry gates at the tiger reserve will increase to 8. “Exercise has been started to identify locations for the  three new gates. As of now, we have not pin pointed the areas.” - An Official at RNP.
