The Indian government has announced new regulations regarding in-flight internet services. According to the newly notified Flight and Maritime Connectivity (Amendment) Rules, 2024, passengers will only be able to use internet services via WiFi when electronic devices are allowed on aircraft. 

This applies after the aircraft has reached an altitude of 3,000 meters in Indian airspace. Under the Flight and Maritime Connectivity Rules, 2018, mobile communication services in aircraft must be provided by service providers at a minimum height of 3,000 meters. 

This rule is designed to prevent interference with terrestrial mobile networks.
