Scheme for 10 KW Home Solar Plant Application
Now the application fee will be collected along with electricity bill; this will ease process of applying for consumers
Udaipur, December 13, 2024 - Rajasthan DISCOM (Distribution Company) has come up with a new scheme to keep people connected with the Prime Minister's Solar Home Scheme. Under this inititative, the application fee for setting up a solar plant will be collected along with the electricity bill. However, this facility will be available only to consumers who apply for a solar connection of up to 10 kilowatts (KW).
DISCOM MD KP Verma said that under this scheme, domestic consumers applying for a solar connection of up to 10 KW will have the demand notice amount collected through their electricity bill. Verma shared that it has been observed that domestic consumers have to pay various charges at different stages for solar connections. This not only made the process complicated but also led to dissatisfaction among consumers.
But from now on all applicable charges for solar connections of up to 10 KW under the PM Solar Home Scheme will be collected from consumers through their electricity bills, after the solar energy plant is commissioned. This facility is being provided to simplify the process of applying for and starting solar energy plants, making it more user-friendly. It is believed that this measure will encourage domestic consumers to use solar energy.
