November 28,2024 - The Education Department has issued strict orders for schools to follow the timings during winter. The move aims to protect students from the cold. Despite this, private schools have been setting their own schedules, causing inconvenience to students.

Orders for Winter Timings

The Education Department has mandated that all schools operate as per the Shivira Panchang. Schools violating these rules will face strict action. This includes the possibility of recognition and promotion being revoked.

Official Winter Timings

Director of Education, Ashish Modi, clarified the winter schedule:

• Single Shift: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

• Double Shift: 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM

These timings apply to both government and private schools.

Warning for Non-Adherence

Many private schools continue to operate with their old timings, even as the cold intensifies. The department has instructed all non-government schools to strictly follow the Panchang schedule. Schools ignoring this directive will face severe consequences.
