Service lane to be made between Udaipur and Gomti

New roads and lanes are to be constructed in Rajsamand. An underpass at JK Circle is on the agenda.

-Minister Nitin Gadkari informed about the plans of development in a virtual meeting on Thursday.

Under the road development projects, new roads, underpasses and flyovers have been considered as part of smart city projects. Repair and maintenance of roads, creating accident free-zones, smooth traffic on roads and a lot of such aspects have been considered. Following this, Rajsamand district is undergoing certain changes with respect to roads after the recent accidents that took place at JK Circle.

An underpass will be constructed at JK Circle, the announcement for which was made by the Minister for Road Transport and Highways in a virtual programme on Thursday. He also announced that a service lane between Udaipur and Gomti highway will be made with and additional budget of 127 crore rupees.

In the virtual ceremony, bhumi-pujan for 11 projects was done and the foundation and inauguration ceremonies were performed. A budget of 50,000 crore rupees has been announced for the 14 upcoming projects in 2020-21.

For the virtual meeting, a platform was made at Gomti choraha and various representatives were present for the meeting. The following plans are under the development projects:

-Underpass at JK Circle at Bhilwara-Udaipur 4-lane.

-A budget of 127 crore rupees for the service road between Udaipur and Gomti.

-A 142 km long 4-lane from Bhatewar to Charbhuja via Nathdwara-Kumbhalgarh with a budget of 1000 crore rupees.

-National Highway from Jaitaran to Jassakheda.
