Sewage Overflow and Garbage Piles Trouble Udaipur Citizens

Udaipur, March 24, 2025 - Udaipur is facing serious cleanliness issues as residents struggle with poor sanitation and sewage problems. Complaints have been raised from multiple areas regarding irregular garbage collection and sewage water overflowing onto roads.
Residents of Technocrat Society have reported severe sanitation issues. Samiksha Sharma, a resident, said that Udaipur Municipal Corporation (UMC) workers do not visit the area regularly, leaving people waiting for garbage collection. As a result, residents are dumping waste in vacant plots, leading to mosquito infestations and foul odors. The increasing risk of diseases has made the situation worse. Locals urge the administration to ensure regular cleaning.
Similarly, Sushil Bhatnagar, a resident, highlighted the sewage problem at RK Circle, one of the busiest intersections in Udaipur. He reported that sewage water has accumulated outside a complex, resembling a pond. On the opposite side, filth is scattered near chaat, juice, and tea stalls, raising hygiene concerns.
Residents believe that negligence from authorities is affecting Udaipur’s cleanliness and could impact its ranking in sanitation surveys. They demand immediate action to resolve these issues.
