With the recent influx of water into the lake, dirty sewage water is flowing directly into it from various locations. Meanwhile, in some areas, clean water is being wasted.

Outside Hotel Natural, overflow from a sewage chamber has been spreading filth onto the streets for several days. This has made it difficult for residents to leave their homes. The stagnant water on the streets is causing a foul smell, breeding mosquitoes, and leading to health problems.

Tejashankar Paliwal, a former member of the Lake Development Authority, has reported these issues to the authorities, but no action has been taken yet. Additionally, clean lake water is being wasted on the Hathipol-Jhariya road as it flows into drains.

Residents also note that near Hotel Natural, a sewer pump house built under the Amrit Scheme frequently causes sewage to spread on the road, with dirty water flowing directly into the lake.
