Shilpgram and Bagore ki Haveli to be opened for tourists in December
-Renovation has been done in Bagore ki Haveli.
-New attractions have been added in Shilpgram.
Good news for Udaipur tourism...Bagore ki Haveli and Shilpgram will be opened for tourists in December. It may be noted that the 2 major tourist attractions were closed since 23rd March 2020 because of the pandemic.
Bagore ki Haveli has undergone restoration and renovation and its new look will certainly attract the tourists to a great extent. 2.6 crore rupees have been spent on the renovation work under the smart city project.
Shilpgram is being painted. Traditional huts from Nagaland are a new attraction in the rural art village to make the public aware of the culture of North-East. Statues depicting the tradition of Ganesh visarjan and a 15 feet high canon have also been constructed.
Though Bagore ki Haveli had started conducting workshops after the unlock, yet tourist entry was prohibited. Now entry will be allowed beginning 1st December. The cultural programmes under “Dharohar” will also begin for the tourists.
It may also be noted that these 2 tourist spots are very famous and every year tourists can be seen flocking into these spots. With the spread of pandemic, these spots were closed and it is now being hoped that the unlock will bring in something good for the tourism sector. All safety measures regarding covid will be taken care of.
