SI Exam Paper Leak: Decision Likely in Meeting on October 10
More than 300 station in-charge in State under the scanner
The Special Operations Group (SGO) has cast suspicions on more than 300 station in-charge in the on-going Rajasthan Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment exam paper leak scandal. All the 300 are currently under training at the Rajasthan Police Academy (RPA). Sources say there are incidents of more than 35 personnel going on leave within three days and more than 60 station in-charge on leave.
It is suspected that this flurry of activities for leave happened soon after the two children of drug trafficker Bhagirath were found to be part of the training and were detained.
Meanwhile Rajasthan Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel has assured that the state government would make a fair decision regarding the Police Sub Inspector (SI) Examination-2021, keeping the candidates' interests in mind. A meeting was held on Monday, October 7, but no concrete decision was taken on the fate of the exam. Another meeting will be held on this issue tomorrow, October 10.
The SI written exams were conducted over three days from September 13 to September 15 in 2021. Later, doubts were raised over the integrity of the exams when it was discovered that nearly 50% of the selected candidates had sat for the exam on September 15.
Patel assured that in tomorrow’s meeting a recommendation would be submitted to the government after thorough deliberations, on the basis of a complete probe.
