Udaipur, Oct 30, 2025 - The Rajasthan Excise Department has taken the help of technology to curb illegal and spurious liquor in the State. Henceforth, consumers will be able to get details of any liquor bottle they buy by using the department’s Raj Excise Citizen mobile app. This app provides real-time information about any liquor bottle as soon as the hologram sticker or QR code on it is scanned.

Excise Commissioner Shivprasad Nakate said this app is a step towards making consumers more aware and safe. He warned that liquor purchased from unauthorised sources can be harmful and even fatal. With this app, any consumer can instantly access multiple details about the bottle by scanning its QR code.
