Sukhadia Circle Game Zone Project Stalled
Proposed Game Zone is limited to paperwork only
The much-anticipated game zone at Sukhadia Circle is still facing delays. Confusion over the final location for the project has led to a court case dispute. Despite calling for tenders three times, no contractors have come forward to take on the project. One contractor initially accepted the contract but later backed out, citing a dispute over the land.
Municipal Mayor's Assurance
Udaipur Municipal Corporation Mayor has clarified that there is no dispute regarding the land designated for the game zone. This land is owned by the Municipal Corporation, and there are other potential locations in the city for establishing a game zone. However, a lack of willpower has hindered progress, leaving the project stuck in paperwork.
Planned Facilities for the Game Zone
Children have been eagerly waiting for the game zone. The corporation plans to offer various facilities, including computer games, racing games, water games, and kiddie rides. There will also be physical games like mini basketball, soft games, and air hockey, all available at minimal rates.
Additional Features for Young Children
For children aged 0 to 5 years, electronic gaming, sports, and coin-based games will be provided at a low fee. Additionally, there are plans to develop an indoor baby game zone and a swimming pool on some park land.
With over 80,000 children aged between 0 to 5 and 6 to 9 years in the city, the absence of modern play facilities is a significant concern. The corporation aimed to address this issue by finalizing a location at Sukhadia Circle.
