Ubeshwar: One Check Dam Construction Completed
Forest Department develops Ubeshwar Ji as new picnic spot
Udaipur, December 19,2024 - The Forest Department is working on transforming Ubeshwar Ji into a new picnic spot. The project includes the construction of check dams, a pathway, and a park, making it an attractive destination for tourists and locals.
Check Dams and Waterfalls
The department is constructing three check dams on the seasonal stream in the Ubeshwar Ji area. One check dam has already been completed. During the monsoon season, visitors will enjoy the sight of waterfalls. The check dams are designed to be terraced, allowing water to flow down like a waterfall.
Project Timeline and Safety Measures
The project, which costs Rs 4.4 crore, is expected to be completed by March next year. Safety walls and ghats have been built at various locations to ensure the safety of tourists. The renovation of two existing check dams has also been completed.
New Pathway for Access
Currently, there is no road leading to the check dams in Ubeshwar. To address this, the department is building a 100-meter-long pedestrian pathway, allowing both tourists and locals to easily reach the waterfalls.
Shiv Vatika Park
A 15-hectare Shiv Vatika is also being developed in Ubeshwar Ji. This park features a watch tower, benches for visitors, and plantation work. From the park, tourists can enjoy a view of the Sajjangarh Fort. The inauguration of this park is expected soon.
