Nutrition Program to be Monitored Online at Anganwadi Centers in Udaipur

Daily login and data updates will be mandatory

The nutrition program provided at Anganwadi centers under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) will now be monitored online. This system is already in place for the Mid-Day Meal Scheme and will be extended to ICDS through the Poshan Tracker application. Currently, over 10,000 children are enrolled in 3,100 Anganwadi centers in Udaipur district. Across the state, 18,11,430 children are benefiting from services at 62,119 Anganwadi centers.

How the App Works?

An OTP-based login system is being introduced for Anganwadi workers. Their mobile numbers will be linked to the portal, and an OTP will be sent to them during login. After entering the OTP, they will be able to access the portal and update all necessary information about the nutrition program. Earlier, this data was recorded manually in registers.

Nutrition Program at Mid-Day Meal Department

There are talks about possibly handing over the nutrition program at Anganwadi centers to the Mid-Day Meal Department in the future. However, no official announcement has been made yet.

According to ICDS Director OP Bunkar, daily login and data updates will be mandatory. This system will bring transparency to the nutrition program, with daily data reaching the department. A record of Anganwadi workers mobile numbers will be created in Jaipur and uploaded to the Poshan Tracker for easy access.

The same system used for the Mid-Day Meal Scheme will now be applied to ICDS for efficient monitoring.
