Udaipur's AQI rise beyond 110 after rainfall
Reported areas in Udaipur with worst AQI...
The rain on Monday and Tuesday in most cities of the state cleared the pollution in the sky. As a result, there was an improvement in the Air Quality Index (AQI) of the cities. However, as soon as the weather cleared on Wednesday, the level of pollution increased again. Udaipur city was among those affected. Until Tuesday, Udaipur's Air Quality Index (AQI) was at 62. Similarly, other cities such as Bhilwara, Baran, Alwar, Kota, Jhalawar, Chittorgarh, Karauli, Sirohi, Sawai Madhopur, Bundi and Pratapgarh maintained AQI levels below 100 on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.
Prior to the recent rainfall, harmful pollutants had contaminated the air. Consequently, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in numerous small and large cities in Rajasthan was escalating to hazardous levels. Subsequent to the rain, positive changes were noted, and the AQI in several cities of Rajasthan decreased to below 100.
However, with the clearing weather on Wednesday, Udaipur's AQI experienced a surge. By Wednesday, November 29, 2023 evening, it had escalated from 62 in the morning to 110, indicating a deterioration in Udaipur's air quality once again.
