On May 16, 2024, the Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) and the Municipal Corporation jointly launched an operation to clear encroachments from the city's roads. The UDA team focused on removing stalls and other encroachments from the Pratap Nagar area, while the Municipal Corporation targeted Gulab Bagh Road and Bapu Bazaar Road.

In Pratap Nagar, the UDA team swiftly removed unauthorized structures obstructing the smooth flow of traffic. Encroachments such as stalls were dismantled to ensure the safety and convenience of commuters.

Meanwhile, on Gulab Bagh Road and Bapu Bazaar Road, the Municipal Corporation took strict action against shop owners who had placed stands and coolers outside their establishments, causing congestion on the sidewalks and impeding pedestrian movement.
