The Western Region Cultural Center is hosting the Warli Art Exhibition at Bagore Ki Haveli, scheduled from October 11 to October 31, 2023. The daily workshop sessions will run from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM during this period. Furthermore, from October 11 to October 20, 2023, an additional Collage Art Exhibition will be held at the same venue, also accompanied by workshops taking place at Bagore Ki Haveli from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. This provides a unique opportunity for artists and enthusiasts to engage with and appreciate both Warli and Collage art forms in a beautiful cultural setting.

Warli art is a traditional form of tribal art that originates from the Warli people, who are an indigenous tribal community living in the western Indian state of Maharashtra and the bordering areas of Gujarat. This art form is believed to date back to more than 2,000 years and is characterized by its simplicity, use of basic geometric shapes, and a distinctive style that primarily consists of white patterns on a brown or red ochre background. 

Warli art has gained recognition not only in India but also internationally for its cultural significance and aesthetic appeal. It has been adapted into various forms, including canvas paintings, paper art, and textiles, and is often used to depict themes related to rural life, tribal culture, and spirituality. This art form has helped preserve the cultural heritage of the Warli tribe and continues to be a source of income for many Warli artists today.
