26 Government schools of Udaipur division changed to English medium
259 schools in Rajasthan were converted to Mahatma Gandhi Government School (English medium)
The Directorate of Secondary Education has changed 259 government schools in the state to Mahatma Gandhi Government School (English medium) as part of executing the Budget announcement. In the Udaipur division, there are 26 government institutions among them.
The conversion of Government Senior Secondary School Gogrud of Kotra and Government Upper Primary School Mavli village of Mavli into English-medium schools in the Udaipur region has been approved, according to information obtained from the Education Department.
Similarly in Rajsamand district Government Higher Primary Schools Media Kachhabali Bhim along with five other government schools were converted into English medium.
Additionally, English was implemented in government institutions in Balwada, Jhuntri, Sagwada, Dousa, Chikli, Bichhiwara, Salawad, Dungarpur, and Banswara. 51 government schools will be released from the prior coordination and transformed into Mahatma Gandhi government (English language) schools.
Beginning with the academic year 2023–2024, the aforementioned institutions will operate as the Mahatma Gandhi Government School (English Medium) and Government English Medium School, respectively. In the upcoming academic years of 2023–2024, classes from first to fifth grades will be held in the English language.
