Udaipur Municipal Corporation to complete major infrastructure projects
To enhance cleanliness within the city...
The Nagar Nigam Udaipur is undertaking a comprehensive initiative to enhance cleanliness within the city through several key projects. At an expenditure of Rs 100 crore, the municipality plans to lay sewer lines in the remaining areas of the city, ensuring efficient waste management and sanitation. A significant aspect of this initiative involves the establishment of a sewage treatment plant with a substantial capacity of 20 MLD, with a dedicated investment of Rs 50 crore. This plant is crucial for treating and managing wastewater, contributing to the overall improvement of the city's environmental conditions.
In addition, a solid waste management process plant is slated to be established at a cost of Rs 11 crore. This facility will play a pivotal role in the proper disposal and treatment of solid waste, aligning with modern waste management practices to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
A drainage system is also on the agenda, with the construction of a drain in Ashok Nagar at a cost of Rs 7 crore. This initiative aims to address water runoff and drainage issues in the specific locality, further enhancing the overall sanitation infrastructure of the city.
Furthermore, a rejuvenation project for the Swaroop Sagar water body is in the pipeline, with an allocated budget of Rs 6.5 crore. This endeavor is designed to improve the ecological health of Swaroop Sagar, promoting sustainable water management and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the area.
Through these strategic and well-funded projects, Nagar Nigam Udaipur is committed to creating a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable urban environment for its residents.
