Udaipur NCC Cadets Completes Ganga Expedition from Prayagraj to Varanasi
NCC Cadets Organize "Indian Rivers – The Cradle of Cultures" Rowing Expedition
Udaipur, November 15, 2024 - A special rowing expedition, "Indian Rivers – The Cradle of Cultures," has been organized by the cadets of the National Cadet Corps (NCC). The goal of the expedition is to highlight the cultural and historical importance of Indian rivers.
The journey began in Kanpur and will end in Kolkata. A total of 528 naval cadets from 17 NCC directorates are taking part in the expedition.
In the second phase, the Rajasthan Directorate's team rowed for 205 kilometers. Under the leadership of Commander Shakeel Ahmed, Commanding Officer of 1 Raj Naval Unit NCC Udaipur, 24 cadets travelled from Prayagraj to Varanasi. They completed this leg of the journey between November 6 and November 12, 2024.
The expedition will cover nearly 1,200 kilometers, passing through Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal. It is divided into six phases, starting from Kanpur on October 21 and concluding in Kolkata on December 20, 2024.
