Shakti Nagar Bottle Neck Demolition Underway
To Ease Traffic Congestion...
In an effort to alleviate traffic congestion along the route from Shakti Nagar to the municipality, residents have started demolition of buildings obstructing the road. The bottleneck removal project aims to widen the road to 30 feet. This will ease traffic on Surajpol road via Municipal Corporation.
Currently, the focus lies on dismantling structures situated on the right side of the road, with plans to address those on the left side subsequently. The bottleneck's removal comes in response to frequent traffic jams caused by narrow lanes, hindering the movement of vehicles, including larger ones, throughout the day.
As part of the comprehensive strategy, the Municipal Corporation has restricted access to the affected lane without physical barricades, deploying security personnel to oversee the area. Udaipur MLA Tarachand Jain recently conducted an inspection of the Shaktinagar Bottle Neck, emphasizing the necessity of implementing measures to deter heavy vehicle entry post-demolition.
A total of eight families residing on both sides of the bottleneck will be affected by the demolition. Following constructive dialogue with the administration, an agreement has been reached to address their concerns. Four of these families will receive land behind the municipal corporation, while the remaining four will be allocated space in Hiran Magri Sector 11. Compensation for the damage incurred to their properties will also be provided in accordance with government regulations.
