Udaipur saw highest tourists footfall in February, 2023

Upcoming Gangaur Pooja, Mewar Festival and G-20 meeting will add to the tourists quotient in the coming month

In the month of February 2023, Udaipur city saw record-breaking tourist numbers. 1 lakh 40,400 domestic travellers landed in Udaipur. The majority of visitors to Udaipur during the Phagutsav at the Shrinathji, Vitthalnathji, and Dwarkadhish temples are from Gujarat.

In addition to facilitating travel, the Ahmedabad-Udaipur railway, which began service roughly four and a half months ago, has helped the tourism sector. The enhancement of Udaipur's train and aviation links, in the opinion of Shikha Saxena, Deputy Director of the Tourism Department, will result in an even greater influx of tourists.

The Gangaur Puja and Mewar Festival, which will be held on March 24, 25, and 26, will also be organized by the Tourism Department and will draw visitors from all over the nation and the world. These events are in addition to the G-20 Sustainable Financial Group meeting, which will take place from March 21 to 23, during which more than 150 guests from 20 different countries will arrive.
