Vishvaraj Singh Mewar Visits Eklingji Temple
Earlier, the newly-anointed Maharana performed ashwa puja at his Samorbagh residence
Udaipur, November 27, 2024 - Amid the continuing dispute within the Mewar royal family, Maharana Vishvaraj Singh Mewar today visited the Eklingji Temple (dedicated to Lord Shiva), 20 kms from the city. Earlier, around 10:00 am, he performed the traditional ashwa puja and other rituals at his Samorbagh Palace residence. His wife, Rajsamand MP Mahima Kumari, and hundreds of supporters were present during the ceremony.
After ashwa puja, Vishvaraj Singh Mewar travelled to Eklingji temple accompanied by his entourage. Strict security arrangements were made along the entire route.
Meanwhile, yesterday accusations and counter-accusations continued with both factions blaming the other. Vishvaraj Singh Mewar and Lakshyraj Singh Mewar held the other responsible for the clash that occurred November 25 night. Both also accused the government and the district administration.
