Udaipur, September 27, 2024 - In the Lasadiya police station area of Salumbar district, police have arrested three suspects, including the wife of the deceased, in connection with the brutal murder of a man who was killed by slitting his throat on September 25, 2024. Shocking details have emerged following police investigation that the wife of the deceased was allegedly the mastermind of the crime.

The police received information in the wee hours of September 25 that a body was found near the Ghata Lalpura forest checkpoint. Station in-charge Harshraj Singh immediately informed the SP, after which a police team reached the scene.

The body was identified as that of 35-year-old Dela Meena who had been reported missing by his father Ragla Meena. According to the latter, Dela had not left home for the past 5-6 days but the day he went out he went missing. Later, his niece found the body lying by the roadside.

Based on the report, the police registered a case of murder and began an investigation.

After analysing CDR (Call Detail Records) and other technical information, the police arrested three people within 24 hours. They were identified as Sita Meena (wife of the deceased), Aluram Meena (brother-in-law of Sita) and Laluram Meena (brother of the deceased).

As per investigations, Sita was in an illicit relationship with Laluram since the past 6-7 years and they wanted to get married. Dela had found out about their plans and strongly objected to it. In order to get rid of her husband who was being an obstacle to the relationship, Sita reportedly paid Aluram Rs 60,000 to murder him. Aluram lured Dela to an isolated spot in Dhariyavad where he allegedly killed him.

The police are now searching for other suspects and investigation continues.
