Anju Keswani Chhatwani is an educator by heart, an environmentalist by passion, a trained yoga teacher by choice and a MasterChef by legacy. Aged to perfection at 49 years and still curious to learn, because learning never ends!

She attended St Mary's Senior Secondary School Udaipur, and earned a Bachelors in Arts from Meera Girls’ College, Udaipur. Anju also has a Masters in English Literature from Mohan Lal Sukhadia University, Udaipur. She has also earned MBA degree from Symbiosis University. Anju has flourished in different fields and has taken up courses in Early Years Education at the age of 45.

Anju started working immediately after graduating university. She was a computer teacher at St Mary's Convent Senior Secondary School. She says it was an honour for her to be a colleague to the teachers who taught her. While working as a computer teacher she completed her Masters in English Literature and later on worked at Vidya Bhawan Rural Institute, Udaipur as an English Language lecturer.

Anju shifted to Dubai in 2008 with her husband and children where she got the opportunity to work as a teacher and an Early Year’s Trainer.

Anju won the title of Dubai Supermom in 2017.

Wind beneath her wings

Anju’s parents have always been her inspiration. She explains that while her parents are her inspiration, her husband and children are her motivators. Having a huge family support system, Anju can’t forget how her sisters have been her emotional support and biggest cheerleaders.

When asked how she got to participate in Foodshala Season 10,

Anju says it was Vandana Jain who recommended her name. The next round was the voting process but due to the COVID restrictions, voting took place online. Anju’s votes sky rocketed and she got selected.

Sharing her experience as a participant in a reality TV show, Anju recalls her time on the show as very fascinating, ‘The heart beats faster, you get butterflies in your tummy, sleepless nights, anxiety and happiness on clearing each round and going up to the next level. All this requires a lot of preparation, detailed planning, time management and the courage to face the camera and speak. She says it was an altogether new experience.

Anju has a green thumb and she takes keen interest in growing her own food. She is an accomplished gardener. She has a Facebook page dedicated to teaching gardening to beginners known as ‘A-Teachesonlinegardening’, where she offers free sessions on gardening.

She has participated in various gardening seminars and workshops sharing her invaluable knowledge on cultivating plants. Anju loves music and this multitalented woman has a melodious voice.
