RIP - Dr Manish Chhaparwal, Mewar Hospitals Udaipur
Dr Manish Chhaparwal has been the pioneer in Orthopaedic treatment and care in southern Rajasthan and is credited with founding Mewar Group of Hospitals, which is one of the first chain of hospitals originating from Udaipur.
Dr Manish Chhaparwal, founder of Mewar Orthopaedics and Chairman and Managing Director of Mewar Group of Hospitals died today after a sudden diabetic attack, at the age of 52.
An Orthopaedic Surgeon by specialisation, Dr. Manish Chhaparwal is credited with setting up the biggest orthopaedic hospital, Mewar Hospitals in Udaipur in 1997. His expertise included complex trauma fractures, joint replacement, spine trauma, Arthroscopy, etc.
Dr Manish Chhaparwal was a pioneer in the Orthopaedic domain in this part of Rajasthan. Blessed with a keen business acumen, Dr Manish was the first to bring in the hospital chains concept to southern Rajasthan and has played a big role in re-defining the Ortho specialisation and treatment avenues in Udaipur and around.
As per sources, around 10 days back, he was in the midst of multiple surgeries in his hospital, and at the end of his marathon session, he collapsed. He could not be revived immediately and was admitted to hospital in an unconscious state. He was on ventilator since then and all attempts at revival failed, leading to his death today afternoon.
