In a scene right out of Bollywood movie, Vimala Devi (48), widow of a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan worked as a daily wage labourer to earn money for her 2 sons education. In a well deserved happy ending, both her sons are set to become doctors.

Ashok Vishnoi (22), elder son of Vimala Devi go All India Rank of 4000 in NEET exam conducted in 2013. He is currently a final year student at RNT Medical college and will graduate this year.
The younger son, Chandramohan Vishnoi (17) secured All India rank of 2011 in the NEET exam results declared this month. He is all set to pursue his medicine education now.
Living in a mud house in Savreej Villave (Phalodi Tehsil, Jodhpur), Vimala Devi said that her husband died in a road accident 8 years back and since then she has taken the onus of educating them both. Her husband’s pension of Rs 5000 after his death for not sufficient to take care of the family expenses and hence she works as a daily wage earner to fund her sons’ education.
Chandramohan acknowledged the role of his mother and said that even though she was illiterate she understood importance of education and worked under NREGA scheme so that the two sons could become doctors one day.
Both the sons were sent for coaching to Kota at Allen Career Institute after borrowing Rs 5 Lakhs from relatives. The coaching institute also provided them a concession in fees.
