Divya Lalwani: Gold Medalist, BTech in Food Technology
Divya Lalwani, a resident of Udaipur secured First Position in the BTech (Food Technology) Degree examination held by the Eternal University, Baru Sahab. She was awarded her medals as well as the Saradarni Tej Kaur Dhaliwal Memorial Award for 2022 for her achievement.
Divya, a resident of Udaipur, belongs to a Sindhi family and is one of three siblings. Divya did her schooling from St Anthony's Senior Secondary School, where she fared well in academics.
In her interaction with UdaipurTimes, Divya shares that her passion for Food Technology dates back to her very early years, when she was an ardent follower of television shows such as Food Factory and likes on Discovery Channel. Being a student of Biology in her senior school, she was inclined to prepare for the NEET examination to pursue Medicine. However, due to a lower rank, she did not get admission in any of the government colleges. This was when the thought of pursuing Food Technology hit her and she opted to pursue her interest in Food Technology from the Eternal University, Baru Sahab.
Her favorite quote from Michelle Obama: "If you don't get out there and define yourself , you will be quickly and incaccurately defined by others."
While in college, she took interest in writing blogs for food and agri magazine, where she realised her acumen for writing. Following college, she adds, all students including hersellf got busy with their tight academic schdules in the final year and updating their resumes to apply for jobs. However, she did not part ways with writing and her interest in Food Technology and looks to aim for pursuing a career in this domain.
