IIT JEE results: Udaipur's Palak Jain tops Rajasthan, secures AIR-3
Palak Jain, a student of MDS-Resonance, has achieved 3rd rank all over India and 1st in Rajasthan by securing 340 marks out of 360 (94.44%). She competed against around 13.5 lakh students who wrote JEE (Main) 2013.

Among other students from MDS-Resonance, Anirudh Sharma secured 320/360, Yash Gupta secured 307/360, Sakshi Babel and Sarwar Hussain secured 297 each. Overall, 42 students have been selected from MDS Class XII while a total of 82 students from Resonance made through the exam.
Dr. Nidhi Maheshwari, Principal, MDS School said “We are quite proud of the MDS students performance in various competititive examinations.”
According to Ravi Ranjan, Center Head of Resonance, “This simply proves that if good and ethical schooling is done from Udaipur with proper mentors, all India ranks are possible. No need to go to Kota. This result is highest ever among any coaching institute from Udaipur.”

It is noteworthy that the government of India has changed the pattern of IIT-JEE this year and divided it into 2 Stages. The 1st stage of this examination was conducted on 7th April 2013 and second stage (IIT-JEE Advance) would be conducted on 2nd June 2013.
The 15 IITs which will provide admissions via JEE advanced are: IIT-Bhubaneshwar, IIT-Bombay, IIT-Delhi, IIT-Gandhinagar, IIT-Guwahati, IIT-Hyderabad, IIT-Indore, IIT-Kanpur, IIT-Kharagpur, IIT-Madras, IIT-Mandi, IIT-Patna, IIT-Rajasthan, IIT-Roorkee and IIT-Ropar.
Students from Hyderabad secured the top two ranks out of 13.5 lakh examinees in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains, which bring them closer to getting admissions in IITs.
Sixteen-year-old M Viswa Virinchi, a resident of Kukatpally secured the first rank with 345 marks, and Owais Khan Mohammed, a resident of Towlichoki, secured the second rank with 341 marks. The third student Ravi Jagannath Vishal, who secured 340 marks, is from Visakhapatnam.
