MBA (Engineering) Programme Launched at CTAE
College of Technology & Engineering has launched a two-year full-time MBA (Engg.) programme. The launch function of the programme was organised at the CTAE Conference Hall.

Dr. Janat Shah, Director, IIM, Udaipur was the Chief Guest; Mr. Vinod Kumat, Secretary General, Udaipur Chamber of Commerce & Industry was the Special Guest;Prof. S.S. Chahal, Honourable Vice-Chancellor, MPUAT was the Chairperson & Dr. N.S. Rathore, Dean, CTAE College and Dr. S. Jindal, Course Co-ordinator, MBA (Engg.) were the dignitaries present in the function. The function started with the floral welcome of the guests & lamp lighting.
Dr. Rathore welcomed the guests & expressed his gratitude to the guests for sparing their valuable time for the function. Giving the details of the course, he said that MBA (Engg.) is a two year full-time programme. The course is specifically designed for engineering graduates with the elective specialisations of Production & Operations Management, Information Technology Management & Technology Management available to them to make a choice from. He also informed that during the course, major emphasis will be laid on regular industry interactions, case studies & discussions on contemporary issues.
Special Guest, Mr. Vinod Kumat laid stressed on entrepreneurship. He emphasised on the need of collective approach of engineering & management in today’s business world. While appreciating the fact that most of the students of the course were having some work experience, he stated that work experience of 5 years should be made the eligibility criteria for admission to management studies, as in UK. He further stated that success is a relative term & each student should decide his success parameters individually. He opined that in this decade, India is going to face an entrepreneurial explosion & management students will have an edge in it.
Chief Guest, Dr. Janat Shah appreciated the contemporary relevance of the course & said that CTAE has established unique example by starting this course. He emphasised the relevance and need of collaborative approach to engineering & management education. He asked the students to complete large number of live projects during the course to gain proficiency in management. He also stated the importance of regular industry interactions and classroom discussions on problems encountered by the industry. He assured his full cooperation & support to the programme.
Chairperson, Prof. S.S. Chahal discussed about how he conceived the vision of this programme & developed the course. He emphasised on the need of proficient managers. He ensured his support & cooperation to the programme & expressed confidence that the programme is going to achieve highest standards of success and bring laurels to the college & university. He also stated that in the coming years, all management programmes of the university will be brought under one roof & a “Centre of Management Excellence” will be developed.
Course Coordinator, Dr. Sudhakar Jindal gave the “Vote of Thanks”. He thanked all the dignitaries, guests, faculties, students & media for their cooperation & support. Mr. Hitesh Chelawat conducted the function.
