A weekend dedicated to their lost friends, this batch from St Pauls is committed to social cause

Sizing up the last two years that cost them their beloved childhood friends, the 1982 batch of St Pauls once again came together to dedicate their weekend to memories of their lost friends and to pledge commitment to social cause.

The 1982 batch of St Pauls, which consists of businessmen, Lawyers, Doctors, Chartered Accountants and members of the Indian Administrative Services came together after a hiatus of 2 years. In the last two years , which were dominated by the COVID crisis, this group has lost two of their beloved classmates to COVID, viz. Chandra Prakash Verma and Mukhrit Verma. While Chandra Prakash or Chandu as he was lovingly called lost his battle to COVID in the first wave, Mukhrit succumbed to the disease in the second wave.

All members of the group visited the family of Chandra Prakash and Mukhrit Verma. The saddest moment is when a person who is a part of the best of your memories becomes a memory..

During the COVID crisis, members of the group, in their individual capacitieis donated medical equipment to hospitals, face masks, oximeters, etc to charitable institutions. This group of classmates from 1982 has pledged to step up to social issues on a regular basis and will establish a formal setup to address such causes.

To preserve memories of the weekend of 2021, a special memento was presented to all friends by Kamaljeet Singh, a member of the 1982 batch of St Pauls...
