Resonance PCCP Udaipur student Kartikeya Sharma of class 10 has secured the first place in the 2015 State Science Seminar for school students, held at SIERT Udaipur.

The seminar, on ‘Harnessing Light: Possibilities & Challenges’, was organized by Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai, in collaboration with SIERT, Govt. of Rajasthan, earlier this month. The seminar is conducted at district & state levels in all states and union territories in India, with the state level winner representing the state at the National Level Seminar.

Kartikeya will represent Rajasthan at the National Level Seminar, organized by the National Council of Science Museums (Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India) at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi later this year.

The top 9 students at the All-India level will receive scholarships for one year and the top 3 students will also represent India at international seminars.

In 2011-12, another Resonance student, Divyansh Ameta (currently studying at IIT Delhi), was among the top 3 at the National Seminar and represented India at an international seminar, where he was given an opportunity to visit Nobel winner Marie Curie’s lab in Paris, sponsored by the Govt. of India.
