Udaipur's Aayush Agarwal develops real time COVID statistics monitor for India

The real time COVID statistics monitoring application uses real time crowd sourced data that is picked up from approved platforms

During the last 6 months where the world has been looking at COVID statistics, Aayush Agarwal thought early on in May 2020 to develop a simple map based application to trace COVID statistics without having to look up news websites and drill down state wise and search with city or district name.

Ever since I was a kid, I have always been intrigued by computers and problem solving which led me to choose this career path despite a family profession of doctors. In the future, I hope to put my innovative ideas and solutions to use and be of some use to the society.

The application developed by Aayush crowd sources data from available government approved databases and has mapped the numbers on the India map. One just needs to tap on the district to get the statistics in one go. The statistics include number of positive cases, active cases, deaths, no. of people recovered and the zone (red/orange/green) that the district falls under as per norms.

Aayush Agarwal is a student of BTech - Information Technology at VIT University and is currently in his 3rd year. He has completed his schooling from Delhi Public School, Udaipur in 2018. His parents Dr Tarun Agarwal and Dr Shweta Agarwal are practising professionals.
