Udaipur's Dr Vats to receive Fellowship from Royal College, Scotland
Dr A.K Vats, a renowned neurologist from Udaipur is selected to receive the prestigious fellowship by The Royal College of Physicians, Glasgow.
The honor is based on accomplishments of physicians or researchers.
Informing about the process of selection, Dr A.K Vats informed that the distinguished Member of Royal College (MRCP) is a degree like MD (Doctor of Medicine) in India. Once you are MRCP, after 5 years, based on your accomplishments you can apply for Fellows of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP). For Non-MRCP and with Indian medical degrees like M.D. and D.M. – it is by way of nomination by two fellows of Royal College (proposer and seconder).
Dr Vats will go for the award ceremony in the coming year. Those medical practitioners who were conferred the FRCP in 2019, recieved the fellowship in a ceremony that was held on 4 September on a virtual platform, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
