Feeling deprived by the local authority and politicians, the community of Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat (Youth) has announced the “NOT TO VOTE” in the State Assembly Election 2013.
The community has expressed their demonstration over the unresolved socio-religious conflict and alleged for being used by political leaders, merely as a vote bank. Hence, the 2000 community members have decided that they will not use their voting rights this time.
A memorandum for the same was handed over to district administrative authority by the community representatives today.
Out of several complaints, the community has specially focused on the Dargah of Saint Syedi Lukmanji in which the youth fraction alleges the other group of community for unhearing court’s order of keeping the gates of Dargah opened.
In a press note, the community also charged local administration for their uncooperativeness to get any information through RTI Act 2005.
