All India ICAI Adarsh Cup Cricket Tournament commences at Udaipur

The All India Cricket tournament of members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), commenced today at the Field Club ground at Fatehpura.

This tournament, “ICAI Adarsh Cup”, will be played till the 11th of December and has been organised by the Udaipur branch of CIRC of ICAI.  In all, 12 teams from various cities of India will be participating in this unique event.

Today’s inaugural match was presided over by Raghuveer Singh Rathore, in the absence of Mangilal Garasia. In all, 6 matches were played today, in one of which, played at the Field Club ground, Udaipur beat Varanasi by 16 runs. Ashish Pahuja of Udaipur scored 61 runs, while Deepak Aren of Udaipur took a Hatrick.

In the other matches played at Field Club, Faridabad beat Agra by 6 wickets and Surat beat Alwar by 94 runs. Three other matches were played at the MB College “A” ground, in which Pune beat Jamnagar by 8 wickets, Bhopal beat Indore by 73 runs and Jodhpur beat Panipat by 10 wickets.

In one of the 6 matches being played on 9th December, Udaipur will be playing against Agra at MB College “A” ground.
