BCCI Files Complaint with ICC Against Pakistan; Will Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan Face Ban?
According to PTI, if Haris Rauf and Farhan deny the allegations after the BCCI complaint, but if they cannot prove their actions followed the rules, they could be banned
Udaipur, Sept 25, 2025: The Pakistan cricket team is in the news more for drama than for playing in the Asia Cup. On September 21, in the Super 4 match against India in Dubai, two Pakistan players, Sahibzada Farhan and Haris Rauf, behaved badly. After this, BCCI complained to ICC and asked for strict action against them.
During the match, fast bowler Haris Rauf tried to disturb Indian players. While fielding near the boundary, when Indian fans shouted “Kohli, Kohli,” Rauf made a gesture like bringing down a plane. Everyone watching the match saw this.
In the post-match press conference, Sahibzada Farhan said, “I don’t usually celebrate much after scoring 50 runs, but today I thought, ‘Let’s celebrate.’ I don’t know what people will think, but I don’t care.”
Both Players to Clarify to ICC
According to PTI, if Haris Rauf and Farhan deny the allegations after the BCCI complaint, they may have to appear before ICC Elite Panel Referee Richie Richardson. If they cannot prove their actions followed the rules, they could be banned.
In response to the BCCI complaint, the PCB has also filed a complaint with the ICC against Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav for his statement after the September 14 match. However, the ICC may reject this complaint because complaints must be filed within seven days.
India Reaches Asia Cup Final
