Diya Doshi, student of Class 8 from Udaipur selected for National level Chess competition
Diya Doshi, 14 yrs and a student of Class VIII at MDS School, Udaipur has secured 2nd place in the CBS West Zone Chess Championship and selected to represented Rajasthan in the National level chess tournament
Diya Doshi, 14 yrs and a student of Class VIII at MDS School, Udaipur has secured 2nd place in the CBS West Zone Chess Championship and selected to represented Rajasthan in the National level chess tournament.
Diya’s exemplary performance along with her team mates Kashish Agarwal, Vaishali Mishra and Khushi Mishra in the Under 19 age group got her second position and an opportunity to perform at the National level. Diya also secured the highest points in the tournament and was given the Board Prize for her performance.
The National level tournament will be held at Mount Abu Public School in New Delhi from 9-12 November.

Diya, who has been playing chess since 5 years now, was motivated to play and practice by her father Vardhaman Doshi, who is an entrepreneur and runs a semi precious stones business in Udaipur. Her mother Chanchal, grand father Devilal Doshi and grand mother Taradevi, uncle Darshan and aunt Surekh promoted her interest in the sport and a daily practice session of 5-10 games with her father Vardhaman has facilitated her growing expertise in the sport.
