Udaipur, Aug 4, 2025: On the fourth day of the 5th and final Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025, England batsmen Joe Root and Harry Brook played brilliantly and helped their team make a strong comeback against India.
England started the day at 50/1 and reached 339/6 by the end of play. During this time, Joe Root scored a brilliant 105 runs and made a big record. Now, the England team needs only 35 more runs to win on the fifth day.

With his brilliant century against India, Joe Root has scored a total of 537 runs in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025. He is now the only batsman to score 500+ runs in three different Test series against India.
After his century at Kennington Oval, Root created history by becoming the first player to cross 6000 runs in World Test Championship history. He also has the most Test centuries among active players.
In the list of players with the most Test centuries, Root is now in fourth place. He has overtaken Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara, who had 38 centuries. Only Ricky Ponting (41), Jacques Kallis (45), and Sachin Tendulkar (51) are ahead of him.
