Rajasthan won gold, silver and bronze medals at Powerlifting Championship held at Tenkasi, Tamil Nadu

Rajasthan won one gold, one silver and two bronze medals in the National Junior and Sub-Junior Powerlifting Championship held at Tenkasi, Tamil Nadu. Secretary of Rajasthan Powerlifting Association, Vinod Sahu said that Jitendra Sharma won the gold medal by lifting a total weight of 537.5 kg in the sub-junior category by participating in the weight category above 120 kg. Likewise, Gaurav Gehlot also won the silver medal by lifting 527.5 kg.

In the 69 kg weight category, Yuvraj Singh won the bronze medal by lifting 532.5 kg. In the women’s category, Harshi Boliya of Rajsamand won the bronze medal by lifting 372.5 kg in the 84 kg weight category. In the 53 kg sub-junior category, Gulabchand won the gold medal in the individual bench press event. In the 59 kg weight category, Mayank Dagor won a bronze medal in the individual bench press event. In the same sub-junior women's category, in the 69 kg weight category, Nancy Jangid won the bronze medal in the individual bench press event.

In the junior women's section, Bhagyashree won a bronze medal in the individual event of deadlift in the 69 kg weight category. In the junior 105 kg weight category, Vikram won the silver medal in the individual event of deadlift. 

Rajasthan State Powerlifting Association President Dinesh Shrimali, Treasurer Ajay Gurjar and Secretary Vinod Sahu congratulated all the medal winning players of the state team on winning at the national competition. The coaches of the state team were Kamlesh Sharma and Ashish Jaiman.
