December 14, 2024 - Indian teqball players Anas Baig and Declan Gonsalves have won the bronze medal in the ongoing Teqball World Championship in Vietnam. This Indian duo have created history by securing the country's first-ever medal at the World Championship in this sports.
The Indian pair won the bronze medal in the men's doubles category. A total of 221 athletes from 95 countries participated in this championship across five different categories. The Indian players defeated Ukraine's Shevchuk/Usichenko 2-1 in the quarterfinals, becoming only the 11th nation to win a medal.In 2024. The duo however lost their semi-final match against Thailand.
