The Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) has decided to include helicopter services for transporting tourist from one destination to another across Rajasthan.  Udaipur, Kota, Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Pushkar, etc are the destinations that are included in the helicopter route.  Apart from this, the RTDC will also begin a Taxi Service on the lines of such done by private tour operators and packages by the RTDC will be announced soon.

These two decisions were taken by the RTDC in a meeting at their Jaipur office on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.  The meeting of Board of Directors was chaired by Dharmendra Rathore, Chairman of the RTDC.

Gayatri Rathore, Principal Secretary of the Tourism Department added that the aesthetics of the hotels under the RTDC will also be improved. The RTDC has reported a profit of Rs 1.25 Cr from the operations of Palace on Wheels.  The popularity of the Palace on Wheels has prompted the department to launch the helicopter and taxi serves, as per the authorities.
