Maharana Pratap Airport (Dabok) now has a new apron which will make take-off and landing much smoother. A virtual inauguration was done by Arvind Singh, Director of Airport Authority of India on Thursday.

The new apron will facilitate dual sided ground handling equipment activity. It may be noted that the old apron at the airport had a one sided facility. With this new ramp, parking of 11 big and 22 small aircrafts is now going to be very convenient. Until now the airport had only 5 parking stands, now the number will be increased to 11.

Take-off and landing will become much faster and smoother and passengers will not be required to wait for long. Udaipur airport will see a better activity for Boeing-737 and Airbus-320 will 11 parking stands. With the new apron, the airport will be more organised to handle a big number of aircrafts at one time. An apron plays an important in the parking, loading, unloading, refilling and boarding of an aircraft. It is more accessible to the users than the runway. The apron, however, is not usually open to general public and a permit is required to gain access to the apron.

ATC Incharge Marcus Baharatiya, Sheetal Garg, Safety Manager Alok Singh, Approval and Engineering Incharge Shobhit Krishna, Electrical Incharge Dinesh Khatri, Anubhav Jain and RK Meena played a commendable role in gifting this new apron to Udaipur airport.
