Air India Merge: Singapore Airlines Holds 25.1% Stake
All Vistara planes will now carry the Air India name

On November 12, 2024, Air India completed its merger with Vistara, making the two airlines a single company. This merger allows Singapore Airlines to own 25.1% of the new combined airline.
Now, the Air India Group includes Air India, Air India Express, and Vistara. Together, they have a fleet of 300 aircraft that fly to 55 domestic and 48 international destinations, covering 312 routes. They operate 8,300 flights each week.
After the merger, Air India will operate 5,600 weekly flights to 90 destinations with 208 planes, while Air India Express will handle 2,700 flights to 45 destinations with 90 aircraft. All Vistara planes will now carry the Air India name, with a new flight code starting with "2."
