Starting February 15, 2024 travellers from Udaipur will have a new mode of transportation to reach Ayodhya as the roadways management has announced the commencement of a scheduled bus service between the two cities. The preparations for the service have been completed, and online booking for the route has already begun since last Friday.

Hemant Sharma, the chief manager of Udaipur, provided details about the service, stating that the journey distance between Udaipur and Ayodhya spans 1191 kilometers. Initially, a 3-by-2 seating arrangement bus will be deployed to cater to passengers. However, depending on the demand observed in the upcoming days, sleeper bus services may also be introduced on this route.

Bus Timings

The bus service is designed to offer convenience to passengers with its schedule. Departing from Udaipur at 6:30 in the morning, the bus will make a stop in Jaipur on the same day at 4:35 in the evening before reaching Ayodhya the following day at 9:45 in the morning. Similarly, from Ayodhya, a bus will depart daily at 4:35 in the evening, arriving in Jaipur the next day at 9:00 in the morning, and finally reaching Udaipur at 6:15 in the evening.

Bus Price

For passengers interested in this new travel option, the fare for the journey from Udaipur to Ayodhya has been set at Rs. 1480 for male passengers and Rs. 1201 for female passengers. Meanwhile, for those travelling from Jaipur to Ayodhya, the fare will be Rs. 1078 for males and Rs. 988 for females.

This initiative is expected to provide a comfortable and affordable means of transportation for passengers traveling between Udaipur and Ayodhya, contributing to enhanced connectivity and accessibility between the two cities.
