Delhi-Mumbai Expressway: PM Modi will inaugurate Sohna - Dausa stretch

The Expressway is expected to reduce two hours travel time between Delhi and Jaipur

Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, has said that on February 12, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi would formally open the Sohna-Dausa section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The Expressway is predicted to cut the distance between Delhi and Jaipur's travel time around two hours. Around 270 km distance separates the two cities. The New Delhi - Mumbai Expressway's first segment connects Dausa in Rajasthan, the state whose capital is Jaipur, to Sohna in Haryana.

Nitin Gadkari shared the benefits of this Expressway on social media:

The toll's entry point is where the vehicle number will be recorded. At the moment of exiting the highway, the toll will be taken. The toll will be deducted based on distance. 93 rest stops are being constructed to make travel easier. 50 kilometres will separate one rest home from another.

An overpass has also been built on the Sawai Madhopur and Bundi roads. This will be Asia's first green overpass. This eight-lane highway has been left with some land in between since it is anticipated that it will be expanded into a twelve-lane highway near future.

The 130 kilometres in distance between Delhi and Mumbai would be reduced . The 24-hour travel time between Delhi and Mumbai would be reduced to 12-hours.
