Extra Coaches for 5 Udaipur Trains to Cope with Festival Rush

145 coaches added temporarily to 68 pairs of trains across the State; facilities increased at stations

 

Udaipur, October 19, 2024 - The North Western Railways has temporarily added 145 coaches to 68 pairs of trains across the State. This was done keeping in mind the passenger rush during the festive season. Apart from this, the authorities have also deployed additional staff at stations to assist passengers. Special counters have been set up to deal with passenger queries. Information about special trains is being provided via the public address system. Additionally, RPF personnel have been stationed to manage the crowd.

For trains starting from Udaipur, 10 coaches will be added to five pairs of trains running on routes Udaipur and Jaipur, Delhi and Ahmedabad. These include regular trains as well. The changes will take effect from November 1. Details are as below:

  • Udaipur-Jaipur Holiday Special: One second-class coach will be added from Jaipur from November 1 to 30 and from Udaipur beginning November 2 to December 1.
  • Udaipur-Asarva (Ahmedabad): One second-class coach will be added from Udaipur from November 1 to 30 and from Asarva from November 2 to December 1.
  • Udaipur City-Khajuraho: One second-class and one second sleeper-class coach will be added from Udaipur from November 1 to 30 and from Khajuraho from November 3 to December 2.
  • Udaipur-Jaipur Intercity Express: One second-class chair car and two general-class coaches will be added from November 1 to 30.
  • Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Udaipur City Chetak Express: One second AC, one second sleeper, and one third AC coach will be added from Delhi Sarai Rohilla from November 1 to 30 and from Udaipur City from November 2 to December 1.
