Gauge Conversion of Mavli-Badi Sadri and Dungarpur-Kharwachanda by March 2022
Civil Engineering - Nirman Shield National Award for North Western Railways
The Gauge Conversion works for the two lond pending routes of Mavli-Badi Sadri and Dungarpur-Kharwachanda is expected to be completed by March 2022, as per the NRW Ajmer Division office.
This and other exemplary efforts by the North Western Railway have helped the division to be nominated for the Civil Engineering Nirmaan Shield National Award for the year 2021. NWR, along with West and South East Central Railway have been selected for this award.
Other important infrastructure projects completed by NWR in the financial year 2021-22 under the able guidance of the General Manager NWR include doubling, electrification, non-standardisation, electronic interlocking systems, bridge constructions, etc. as per Captain Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railways. 35 level crossing gates across the NWR have been closed, along with construction of 12 road over bridges and 16 road under bridges within the given time limits.
Gauge conversion work of Dungarpur-Kharwachanda (89 km) of Udaipur-Himmat Nagar along with gauge conversion work of Mavli-Badi Saddi (82 km) line on North Western Railway is among the major tasks completed by teh NWR this financial year.
